thing 23 party.....

Hi 23 things team.
I must confess that I have quickly gone through the last 10 or so things to tick them off the list.
I hope to have more time to re-visit most of them when I am back at work. I am not much of a computer geek, really only use what I need to for work, so this has been a valuable exercise for myself, even though I probably won't retain most of it.
I look forward to putting some of it into proper practice when I get back to work.
Have had most fun with facebook, as can contatc my neice more frequently than i do now.
Thanks for your support, the catch-up cookies (oops sessions) were great.
Not sure what I'll do with my blog, see if anyone contatcs me through it.
The library clients know all the latest gadgets and web applications, so we have to be up there with them, if we are to provide any real valuable service. I am keen to try anything that gets them what they need, I'm a little slower on the uptake though.
Cheers,
Tracey

thing 18 encore

I think a more user friendly interface is always a good thing, although alot of information can be overwhelming. did a quick encore search via our catalogue. I like the ranking and the tag cloud.

thing 19 pets on the wiki

don't have any pets, put my usual butterfly picture up. had a bit of a look at other peoples pets.

thing 17 delicious....

did a search on stephenie meyer, author of the latest vampire novels I've been reading, to find that one of her followers is thinking of adopting a child, and loves to eat ratatouille.... I suppose it all depends on what bookmarks you choose to bookmark. a little too much info for me.

thing 16 igoogle

created igoogle homepage, added hangman gadget, as well as some others that were suggested. customised homepage a little too.

thing 15 google books

did the suggested search, and also a search on "maisy" childresn's books, no preview for any of those... have used google scholar whilst working on eprints, Susan Monaghan quickly took me through it, was helpful, and not as clogged as a normal google search.

thing 14 google docs

had a bit of a look, the sharing part not really necessary for me, I like the accessability from any pc.

thing 13 satellite view of house...

thought this a bit too big brother for me, but looked anyway, can only see our neighbours house, as we live at dead end of street. not so scared now....

thing 13 google maps

just discovered I live oonly 2.3 kms from my mum, I really need to move!!
